The latest
We are out of the show ring for a while now as we have 2 litters due so shall have a break. We have been very pleased with our show team. Hillplace Lay Lady Lay has had a fantastic season and has obtained her stud book number and sure top honors will be her`s in time. Not only a show dog and dearly loved pet but twice used as a display dog for the breed as well. Hillplace Lady of Iron was late coming in the show ring but has turned many heads a truly fit healthy bulldog with looks to match, Fury as she is known as has done some big winning and obtained her stud book number and as she matures she will do us proud. Hillplace Banksy just 6 months old spent the weekend at his first shows getting a first and second and qualifying for Crufts, he has many admirers. Pictured to the right at 6 months winner minor puppy dog at the South of England Bulldog club and 2nd in the same class at Driffield Championship show the next day. OB (9,5) 1 Taylor’s Hillplace Lay Lady Lay, r/w, standard size beauty, desired and typical head & expression with dark clean eye, wide true jaw with correct upsweep, padded chops, full but unobtrusive nose roll, flat skull between rosed ears, classic pear shaped body, square front, deep brisket, plenty of bone & substance, good shoulder with tack on, correct topline, well sprung ribs, great tail, text book muscular hind quarters & moved faultlessly fore & aft on well knuckled feet. Just losing expression in the challenge but well worthy of top honours another time. |

Whelping service
Hillplace Bulldogs can occasionally offer a whelping service to good bulldog people, who are breeding to improve the breed and plan to keep a puppy to show. We would take in your pregnant bitch a week before whelping, whelp her down at our house with a bulldog specialist vet on stand by and raise your puppies until they are 4 weeks old. At 4 weeks they would return home with mum, we can only offer this service once in a while . |

We have pulled out of the kennel Club assured breeders
scheme
Hillplace Bulldogs has pulled out of the kennel Club assured breeders scheme. We are horrified that the kennel club are allowing breeders who purposely breed black and tan etc bulldogs into the scheme. Its all about money for the kennel club and not high standards that we expect of them . Our standards are as high as ever, we try so hard to breed the best bulldogs and the healthiest we possibly can and will always help out any of our puppy buyers in any way we can for as long as that dog lives. We can not allow ourselves to be dragged down in the gutter and mix with puppy farmers . We do not recommend puppy buyers use the kennel club assured breeders while the kennel club are allowing breeders of low morals and standards to join them. If looking for a puppy please ask a bulldog breed club secretary to recommend someone to you. |

This little girl was one of the bulldog models at the recent kennel club high profile day , she was used to show judges , vets and kennel club personal the improvements that have been made in the breed. |

Bulldogs that have retired at Hillplace
| Our outstanding champion Hillplace Iron lady has now retired from showing and breeding , she has a new job at Hillplace as resident guard dog between the hours of 8am - 4pm but out of those hours she does not work!
Mally as she is known to her friends , well what can we say, what a show dog she was she shall go down in history. But to us she is a very spoilt little friend that we adore. |
